"Organic chemistry is the fundamental language of life"

- E. J. Corey, Robert Robinson Lecture (1988)

The Fraley group is using this language (chemistry) to enable new ways of thinking about the molecular complexity of living systems.

We have a versatile work environment with specialties spanning the fields of biology and chemistry.

A common theme in our laboratory is the elucidation of natural product biosyntheses with the aim of applying this knowledge to the improvement of human health and environmental sustainability.
